SNAKES & CRAWDADS

14.5 x 17 x 3

Colored pencil, crawdad claws, watercolor, fine point pen, acrylic paint, colored paper, map tacks

I recreated a snake’s conserved color palette with watercolor and a wash. The claws are intentionally attached to suffocate the center on the piece, the “heart”. I tried pen stippling to replicate snake scales, inspired by George Seurat.
